This weekend workshop will take place in the lovely seaside town of Vila Nova de Milfontes, a favourite holiday destination of the Portuguese in the height of summer, but calm and tranquil out of season. The Atlantic coastline here offers spectacular walks along rugged cliffs interspersed with sandy beaches, while the sheltered estuary of the River Mira offers a more gentle ambience. Why not combine a workshop with a few days’ winter sun in this unspoilt area? Don’t miss the gorgeous sunsets from the Choupana beach bar right on the headland!
There is a small local NVC community here and workshops here attract particpants from the Algarve and further afield. Day 1 of our weekend workshop on 14th-15th November 2015 will be a refresher and reconnector which is also open to newcomers to NVC, while Day 2 will be a deeper dive into the thorny subject of ‘core beliefs ‘ and how we can transform them into positive change in our lives.
Both food and accommodation in Milfontes are excellent and prices are lower than the Algarve or indeed most places in Europe. Ryanair and Easyjet fly to the nearest airports, Faro or Lisbon, for less than £100 return. Milfontes makes a great centre for exploring southern Alentejo, with the added interest of nearby intentional communities such as Tamera ecovillage and the Mooji sangha.
Fees for this workshop have been reduced from last year’s prices on account of the still parlous state of the Portuguese economy. I am asking for a contribution of only £50 (one day) to £90 (both days).
